Woman Keeps Husband's Dead Body In Apartment For Years Awaiting His Resurrection

According to the Russian authorities, a woman with five children kept her husband’s body in their apartment for almost three years after his death.

Prosecutors in the central Yaroslavl region said the unidentified woman, described as a devout Pentecostal Christian with a psychiatric record, was so distraught when her husband died of natural causes in 2009 that she believed he “was bound to resurrect.”

An investigation was opened after the body was found in a dumpster in a plastic bag in July.

The prosecutors’ office said Monday that the woman kept the cadaver in a bed in a room of her apartment and asked her children to talk to it and feed it.

The office says the two children decided to dispose of the body when the family moved to another apartment.

The Bible student who confessed to killing a spiritual leader’s wife revealed to a pastor he recorded the sexual assaults on his iPad, it emerged today, as the 23-year-old appeared in court. Micah Moore, of Kansas City, was charged on Saturday with first-degree murder in the death of Bethany Ann Deaton, which was made to look like a suicide after a bottle of pills and a note were left by her body.

He appeared shackled in court today with his head bowed to hear the charges against him after he confessed to the October 30 murder on Friday. Moore told an International House Of Prayer pastor at the Grandview Police Department that he video recorded the sexual assaults on his iPad.

Despite this, he has not been charged with any sexual assault. It is not yet clear if his iPad has been seized. IHOP released a statement today distancing themselves from the ‘cult’ saying they had no idea what kind of practices the students engaged in.

The body of the 27-year-old woman was found in a van with a bag over her head with a suicide note that said: ‘My name is Bethany Deaton. I chose this evil thing. I did it because I wouldn’t be a real person and what is the point of living if it is too late for that?

‘I wish I had chosen differently a long time ago. I knew it all and refused to listen. Maybe Jesus will still save me.’ The statement, seen by The Kansas City Star, said that Moore admitted he was with Deaton at the lake and that he ‘placed a bag over her head and held it there until her body shook’.

Moore was one of a number of roommates of Bethany Deaton and her husband Tyler, who was said to serve as ‘the spiritual leader of a community’. He said he was afraid that Deaton was going to tell her therapist about assaults that had occurred over the previous few months.

Witnesses told detectives they were a part of a ‘religious community’ where they had sex with each other.
Moore told police that he was told to kill Bethany Deaton by a person who said ‘he knew Micah had it in him to do it’.

Another person who lived at their house told police Tyler had recently been ‘angry and frustrated’ and that in the weeks before Bethany’s death he revealed ‘he had had a dream that he killed his wife by suffocating her’.
Moore is the only person to be charged in the case as yet but the police said they are still investigating.

Bethany’s father released a statement on Monday about her death: ‘We are deeply grieving the loss of our beautiful and innocent daughter. We are shocked and horrified by the information now coming forth. ‘The betrayal, the subtle and increasing manipulation, and the brutal victimization which occurred is beyond tragic. We pray for the truth to be revealed.

‘While it is important to understand how Bethany died, it is even more important to understand how she lived. Because of the ongoing investigation, we do not have any further comment at this time.’

He was arrested together with a friend he’d recruited to join in his operations. They operated in  Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Abuja by luring innocent women and robbing them of expensive jewelries, handsets and cash running into millions of naira.

However, in an interview with the Vanguard, he said he had no apology for doing what he did. He said that a lady he picked in Lagos in 2010 when he came back from South Africa rubbed him after he sucked her boobs and slept off. After that incident, he set out to exert revenge on women.
According to him,  “I am a native of Orlu in Imo State, but I traveled to South Africa in  year  2000, and I lived for 10  years before I returned home. I came back with $30,000 and I lodged at the Airport Hotel in Ikeja. On the night,  I went to Metro Park Night club and picked a woman. I took her to my hotel room and when  we got there I had a friend who came to pay me a visit in my room and while we  were discussing, the woman discovered that I just returned from South Africa and I had some money.

“When the friend left and we were about to make love,  I asked her to take her bath  but she refused and said we will do  that after sex but while I was romancing her, I sucked her breasts before I went into her. But shortly afterwords, I started feeling very dizzy and immediately fell asleep;  I did not wake up until 6.00am. When I woke up,  I  discovered  that she was gone; quickly,I checked my bag to see if my properties were still intact but  I  was shocked  that the $30,000  I  brought back home and all my jewelries were gone.

“I immediately ran to the security guard to inquire if they saw her and they admitted  seeing her  on short, and  when they asked where she was going, she told them that she was going to get toothpaste and soap.   I rushed back to my room and I check the wardrobe where she kept her cloth and I discovered that her bag and a pair of  trouser were still there.

“After waiting for a long time and she didn’t return; I realised that I had been robbed by a prostitute. There and then,  I decided to take my pound of flesh from women.  I can not count the numerous women I had done this to. But now,  I  have realized that what I was doing was a transferred aggression; which is not good.”

He said that his method involved going out at night, pretending to be a rich man with plenty  of
money to spend. He looked for  well dressed women, who had  expensive jewelries on, as well as phones and then asked them out. When they got to the hotel, he drugged their drinks, raped them and robbed them afterwards.

Berserk Son Machetes Father to Death in Enugu

Tragedy struck at Obodoukwu Imoha, Nkerefi community in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu weekend, when a young man allegedly went berserk and inflicted several machete cuts on his father, killing him instantly.

The suspect identified by the police as Chinedu Umahi, was said to have killed his father, Mr. Uwanuakwa Umahi while he was resting in his house about 6 pm on Saturday, September 1, with a sharp machete with which he gave him deep cuts in his body. The police said in Enugu that the man became unconscious following severe bleeding and was rushed to a hospital at Agbani in the neighbouring Nkanu West Local Government Area where he died few hours later. Chinedu is now said to be in police custody where he had allegedly admitted killing his father.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, confirmed the incident yesterday, saying that the command has already commenced investigations into the incident. He said: “We are investigating an incident in which a son gave his father several machete cuts at Obodoukwu Imoha, Nkerefi in Nkanu East local Government Area of the state for a yet to be established reason. The victim, one Uwanuakwa Umahi was alleged to have been macheted by his own son Chinedu.

“The victim was said to be resting in his house that fateful day when his son suddenly came in and started cutting him with the machete. The man tried to escape through the window but he could not because of severe injuries he had already sustained hence he became unconscious. The man was later rushed to the General Hospital Agbani for treatment but he was confirmed dead.”

Woman Sets Self Ablaze For Failing Driving test Four Times

A mother who was left distraught after she failed her driving test for the fourth time endangered others when she tried to commit suicide by setting fire to herself.
Yamkala Sapkota made the attempt on her own life when, despite spending thousands on 90 driving lessons, she was still deemed to be below the standard required to pass her test.
The news sparked an argument between Sapkota and her husband Yadumen who told her to 'die if you want to' before he left for work in the morning.

Following his departure, the 30-year-old set herself alight after leaving a suicide note penned in her native Nepalese, saying she no longer wanted to live.
A neighbour saw Sapkota ablaze in her flat in Gordon Street, in the Leith area of Edinburgh and called the fire service.
Using breathing apparatus firefighters managed to rescue the semi-conscious woman who had suffered burns to her face, back and arms.
Sapkota earlier admitted culpably and recklessly starting the fire, severely injuring herself and endangering the lives of others as well as property on June 28 last year.
Judge Lord Bannatyne told her: 'I have decided to take the unusual course in a High Court case to defer sentence for one year for you to be of good behaviour.'

 

He said that if she did behave he intended to deal with her in a non-custodial manner to allow her to prove that the incident really was out of character.
But he warned that if she was not of good behaviour he would deal with the case 'in a different fashion'.
He also said he had noted the background to the offence which he described as 'somewhat unusual'.
He pointed out that there were no previous convictions and she had committed no offences since. He added: 'I believe it is highly unlikely you will ever offend again.'
Defence counsel Sarah Livingstone said Sapkota had described herself as being out of her mind.
She said: 'In her state of mind she was trying to harm herself and no one else.'
Sapkota and her husband moved to Britain eight years and he secured a job as a chef.
Prosecuting Stephen O'Rourke told the High Court in Edinburgh that on the day of the incident her husband Yadumen had left her very upset when he told her to 'die if you want' before leaving for work.
The prosecutor said: 'The immediate motivator behind the incident was the fact that the accused had failed to pass her driving test for the fourth time that morning, after taking over 90 lessons.

'She was very upset about this and an argument followed between her and her husband which led to the comment.
'The family's financial circumstances were limited and it appears that the cost of the lessons were significant in that regard.'
After the alarm was raised by the 999 call, police arrived and could see smoke coming from under the door of the flat.
As officers evacuated the building, a police officer managed to force open the door but as he went into the hall he was stopped from going any further by the heat.
Firefighters wearing breathing gear managed to reach Sapkota and she was taken out of the flat and paramedics gave her morphine and oxygen as she was taken to hospital.
Mr O'Rourke said the fire, which posed no immediate danger to other properties, was put out.
Sapkota suffered 12 per cent burns to her face, head, neck, shoulder, right arm and back and under went operations to graft skin.
She was also psychiatrically assessed but was diagnosed as not suffering from any mental illness.
Ms Livingstone said the scarring to Sapkota's back was 'horrendous' and she had to wear a special suit. Doctors took the view that she will be permanently scarred.

They are forced to cling to Sheng Fi's legs as she threatens to throw herself off a nine-storey building. But what they did not know was that she had smothered her four-year-old nephew just hours earlier and thrown his body from the same roof in Southern China. 

Sheng had been embroiled in a bitter row with her sister-in-law, the young boy’s mother, and killed the boy as a result of the fight. She admitted to smothering him to death and throwing his body from the 100ft tall building in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province before attempting to jump after him.

Unaware, rescue workers, who had been called after Sheng was spotted on the roof, brought her daughter to talk her down after which they moved to grab her before she made the fatal leap. The horrific truth behind her suicide attempt was unveiled when she had been brought off the ledge.

‘She admits she'd thrown the boy's body off the same roof.’, a police spokesman told local media. ‘She will still die now, but by a firing squad for murder.'

I don't understand this idea of 'honour killings' that's spreading all over Afghanistan at all.  How can a man kill his own family without any qualms just because he felt dishonored? I hope things like this don't happen in Nigeria, even in the very core typical stereotyped families. Please let's know if they do.  

A 30-year-old woman and two of her children were beheaded overnight in Afghanistan's east, police said, in what appeared to be the latest in a rapidly growing trend of so-called honour killings.

Police said they suspected the woman Serata's divorced husband of barging into her house in the capital of Ghazni province and murdering her, alongside their eight-year-old son and nine-year-old daughter.

'The children saw the killer take their mother's head off, so he killed them too,' a local policeman said, adding that the attacker had spared Sereta's two-year-old daughter.

Activists say there has been a sharp rise in violent attacks on women in Afghanistan over the past year.
