Jose Mourinho Finally Accepts Chelsea Manager Job

Jose Mourinho Finally Accepts Chelsea Manager Job
You can now breathe. The wait is over.  After months of speculation, Jose Mourinho has agreed to return to the Chelsea hot-seat next season according to the Daily Star.
And the current Real Madrid manager has already drawn up a list of transfer targets to help the Blues return to the top of the Premier League – headlined by strikers Hulk and Radamel Falcao.

According to the reports, Mourinho will return to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season on a salary that more than matches his current £12 million-a-year package at Madrid. But the 50-year-old realises Chelsea need some extra firepower to compete against the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and emerging powerhouse Tottenham.

Mourinho is a big admirer of Hulk while Atletico Madrid’s Radamel Falcao has long been rumoured with a move to London.

The news may just reinforce Romelu Lukaku’s desire to seek another loan move away from the club next season, with the Mirror reporting the teenager, currently plying his trade with West Brom, has asked Blues officials to secure him another stint in the Premier League. And with European football on his mind, a move to the Capital One champions, Swansea, is on the cards.

AWC 2012: Super Falcons Beat Cameroun 2 - 1

AWC 2012: Super Falcons Beat Cameroun 2 - 1
The Super Flacons flew out of the kitchen and landed on the football pitch in Bata. They landed on the heads of the Camerounian whom they dusted. Nigeria’s Super Falcons laboured to a 2-1 win over their Cameroonian counterparts in the opening match of the African Women’s Championship in Bata, Equatorial Guinea on Monday afternoon.

Earlier rainfall ensured the pitch at the Nkoantoma Stadium was hard for both Super Falcons and the Camerounians to secure a goal. Nigeria however shot into the lead through Onyinyechi Ohagugha at the end of the first half to give the defending champions the lead.

On resumption of the second half, Cameroon levelled the score line as Christiana Patience Mani equalised via a penalty kick.

Falcons struggled to take the lead and it was goal king Perpetua Nkwocha who scored in the 89th minute to ensure Nigeria earned a 2-1 win.

In his post match comment, Super Falcons Manager, Kadiri Ikhana, expressed optimism that the team will do better in subsequent matches.

Defeated And Unhappy Chelsea Files A Complaint Against Referee After Losing To Manchester United

Defeated And Unhappy Chelsea Files A Complaint Against Referee After Losing To Manchester United

It was a sad day for Chelsea yesterday when they lost to Manchester United.

For the first time in a long time, Chelsea yesterday, lodged a complaint to the Premier League match delegate over the controversial 2-3 loss to Manchester United. Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo says the officials “ruined” the game as the Blues slumped to their first Premier League defeat of the season against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

Branislav Ivanovic and Fernando Torres were both given red cards in the space of five minutes just after the hour in United’s 3-2 win – with the Spaniard’s dismissal for diving disputed by Chelsea. Chelsea also lodged a complaint to the Premier League match delegate over the alleged use of “inappropriate language” by referee Mark Clattenburg towards two of their players

A club spokesman said, “The match delegate will pass the complaint to the Football Association.”
Referees’ organisation Professional Game Match Officials later issued a statement which said, “PGMO is aware of the allegations and they are being treated with the utmost seriousness.

“Mark will co-operate fully and welcomes the opportunity for the facts to be established.”

United took advantage of Chelsea being reduced to nine men as Javier Hernandez scored a late winner from an offside position to leave Sir Alex Ferguson’s side a point behind the league leaders.
“The second yellow card [shown to Torres] wasn’t one and the decisive goal was offside,” said Di Matteo.

“It is a shame a game like this had to be decided in that manner by officials. Surely when the referee watches it he will realise he has made big mistakes.

“Fernando put the ball between Jonny Evans’s legs and he was kicked on the shin and went down. Whatever way you want to see it that is our foul and a yellow card for their player, not ours.”

“It is a shame because it was a good game of football with two good teams and the officials ruined it.”

Manchester United manager Ferguson admitted his side rode their luck with Hernandez’s winner, but believes Torres must shoulder the blame for his red card.

“We’ve never got breaks down here and had some terrible decisions against us in the last few years,” he said.

Yobo Set To Open Nite Clubs in Lagos, Port Harcourt

Following the footstep of J.J. Okocha, Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo, is set to open a new nightclub in the heart of Lagos in December. This makes it the second time that the soccer star will own a nightclub in the bustling city. The first one, known as Insomnia, reportedly folded up because of mismanagement.

Having learnt from the mistakes of the past, Yobo seems determined to make this one a success. For now, he is focused on completing the construction of the new club.

It was gathered that he has also concluded plans to open two other clubs in Abuja and Port Harcourt sometime in 2013. And to make this possible, he has hired the services of a new team of resourceful nightclub managers. “You can be rest assured that when its operation commences, the nightclub will redefine the nightclubbing concept in Nigeria,” one of those involved in the arrangement said recently.

Usain Bolt The World's Fastest Man Set for Manchester United Debut

It seems Usain Bolt's dream of playing for Manchester United football club is about to come true. Man U boss Sir Alex Ferguson revealed yesterday that the world's fastest man could make an appearance for the club in a friendly match against Real Madrid next season. Ferguson told Inside United magazine:

"Usain’s a character and a big United fan. It's interesting he says he'd like to play in a charity game. It could be brilliant, and next year when we play Real Madrid's Legends again, there could be opportunities to bring him up and see how he does."

Hope Of Nigeria Winning First Female World Cup Dashed, as USA Beat Falconets to Reach Final

Nigeria’s ambitions ended as USA reach final

Hopes of winning the first world title in female football crashed in the early hours of today, as the USA won their way into a third FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup final with a 2-0 victory over 2010 finalists Nigeria in Tokyo.

Goals midway through either half from Morgan Brian and Kealia Ohai proved enough for the two-time champions to see off the hitherto unbeaten Africans and set up a decider against either holders Germany or hosts Japan. Nigeria made the brighter start as Francisca Ordega latched onto a through ball on seven minutes and beat USA goalkeeper Bryane Heaberlin in a race to the ball, only for her prodded effort to go wide of the post.

Brian scored the all-important opening goal halfway through the first half, perfectly directing a header over goalkeeper Ibubeleye Whyte, following Mollie Pathman’s cross from the left. USA were in the ascendency after the goal, and created several chances in the closing stages of the half. Cari Roccaro pushed a first-time effort over the crossbar directly from a corner, while Kelly Cobb headed onto the roof of the net.

The half-time came at an opportune time for Nigeria, despite the Africans dominating possession
overall during the opening period. Nigeria thought they had drawn level soon into the second half but Desire Oparanozie’s effort was ruled out for offside. Almost immediately a skilful run from Ngozi Okobi set up Oparanozie for a gilt-edged opportunity to draw level, only for the No9 to blaze over.

However, midway through the second half came a hammer blow for the Nigerians as substitute Samantha Mewis pushed a short defence-splitting pass through for Ohai to get the better of her marker and score. The Stars and Stripes will now have the opportunity to win their third title in Saturday’s final, following previous U-20 women's triumphs in 2002 and 2008.

"I'm The Greatest Athlete To Live" - Usain Bolt

Gold number 2: Usain Bolt admires his second gold medal of London 2012, after winning the 200m final

Usain Bolt showed why he's sports finest showman as well as the world's greatest ever athlete by capturing his own Kodak moments with a borrowed press photographer's camera shorty after sprinting to victory in tonight's 200m final.
After he crossed the finishing line first ahead of compatriots Yohan Blake and Warren Weir, the 25-year-old Jamaican celebrated by dancing and skipping around the Olympic Stadium, as the 80,000-strong crowd rewarded him with a standing ovation.
Victorious, Bolt dropped to the track and performed press-ups, before borrowing a photographer camera to take souvenir snapshots of the occasion.

After his quick session as a photographer, Bolt then went on to reward his fans with his famous lightning bolt pose.

Bolt's victory makes him the first man to have won both the 100m and 200m at two successive Olympics.
And he did it in emphatic style, powering home in 19.32 seconds, just a fraction outside the Olympic record of 19.30.
Yohan Blake and Warren Weir made it a Jamaican one-two-three. American Wallace Spearmon came fourth.
Bolt was pushed all the way by Blake, his friend and training partner, who was tipped by many to outshine his mentor in London.

But Bolt got off to a blistering start and powered into a lead around the bend.
In the final 100m it looked as if Blake was closing him down, but Bolt found and extra push and cruised over the line.
American 400m world record holder Michael Johnson said: 'Blake found after the start that Bolt was already gone. He displayed some speed endurance that I haven't seen before. He looked at the clock, realised that he was not on world record pace and decided to celebrate a little bit early!'

Blake said: 'Usain Bolt has been motivating me all season. Everything has been going good so far.'

Third-placed Weir added: "It's a great honour to come here and do what the country wanted, to get the top three.
'The love in London is very, very good.'
Bolt broke both 100m and 200m world records in Beijing.

He failed to better his record of 9.58 seconds in the 100m final, but predicted a fast time tonight.

After cruising to victory in last night's semi-final he said: 'There's a possibility (of a record), definitely.

'I can't say (for sure), but the track is fast. It's going to be a good race.'

Both Bolt and Blake qualified comfortably from yesterday's semi-finals.
Blake registered the fastest time from the two heats. Bolt had to settle for fifth after slowing down to a canter as he crossed the line, light years ahead of the rest of the field.
The two men are fierce rivals on the track. Off the track, they're friends and even training partners - Bolt acting as a mentor to the 20-year-old.
He's even given Blake a nickname: 'The beast.'

He then told the BBC: "This is what I wanted and I got it. I'm very proud of myself. I had a rough season, I came out here and I did what I had to do.
'We've been working hard all season. We pushed ourselves, we pushed each other and we're happy."
Asked if he could have had a world record, Bolt added: "I think it was possible...but I guess I wasn't fit enough. I was fast but I wasn't fit enough.
'I came off the corner, I could feel the strain on my back a little bit so I was trying to keep my form, but
I stopped running because I knew it wasn't going to be a world record. When I came off the corner I could feel it.
'It was hard. I really dedicated [myself] to my work, I know what London meant to me. I came here and I gave it my all and I'm proud of myself.
'I didn't get a world record - I really wanted to do it in the 200m - but I'm happy.'

OLYMPICS: 7 Cameroonian Athletes Disappear From The London 2012 Olympics

The Cameroon Ministry of Sports and Physical Education has announced the disappearance of seven athletes while in Britain for the London 2012 Olympics.

The seven – five boxers, a swimmer and a soccer player – are suspected of having left to stay in Europe for economic reasons.

According to Reuters, “What began as rumour has finally turned out to be true. Seven Cameroonian athletes who participated at the 2012 London Olympic Games have disappeared from the Olympic Village,” David Ojong, the mission head said in a message sent to the ministry. Please click to continue reading...
Ojong said a reserve goalkeeper for the women’s soccer team, Drusille Ngako, was the first to disappear. She was not one of the 18 finally retained after pre-Olympic training in Scotland. While her team-mates left for Coventry for their last preparatory encounter against New Zealand, she vanished. A few days later, swimmer Paul Ekane Edingue and his personal belongings were also not found in his room.

Ojong added that five boxers eliminated from the games, Thomas Essomba, Christian Donfack Adjoufack, Abdon Mewoli, Blaise Yepmou Mendouo and Serge Ambomo, disappeared on Sunday from the Olympic village.

It is not the first time Cameroonian athletes have disappeared during international sports competitions. Last year, 15 Ethiopian athletes disappeared after competing in the All Africa Games in Mozambique.

Mozambique is a popular transit route for illegal immigrants from Ethiopia, Somalia and central Africa. It was reported that they went to South Africa, in the hope of finding better opportunities.

The Lightning Bolt Usain Bolt Wins 2nd Consecutive Olympic 100 Gold

Here is how dailymail.co.uk is reporting this; Usain Bolt sensationally defended his coveted title as the fastest man on the planet tonight as he sprinted to glory in an Olympic record time of 9.63 seconds.

In front of a global TV audience estimated at up to two billion, the 25 year-old Jamaican answered all the questions about his fitness and state of mind to retain his 100-metre sprint crown in what had been billed ‘the greatest’ race of London 2012 – and certainly the most anticipated. Click to read more…

Known around the world as ‘Lightning Bolt’, he lived up to the legend to run the second-fastest time ever and beat his fellow Jamaican Yohan Blake, who claimed silver with a time of 9.75, and American Justin Gatlin, who won bronze in 9.79.

After the race, Bolt said: 'I was happy when I went out in the first round, I felt I could do this.

'I was slightly worried about my start. It was not the best reaction in the world but I stopped worrying about it and executed it and it worked.

'I said it on the track, people can talk, all they can do is talk. When it comes to championships I bring it.

'I knew [the crowd] would be like this, I can feel that energy and I am extremely happy.'

Spanish Bare Breast Aired During Live Water Polo Coverage At The Olympics

Look closer at the player to the left

NBC is actually airing live Olympics right now, as the Spain-United States women's water polo match is underway. They may decide to end the practice entirely and go all-tape delay, though, as an underwater shot aired earlier revealed a bit more than they bargained for. Water polo's a rough sport, and this sort of thing is normal (I'm actually surprised we haven't had any televised dong shots during men's matches.

Boko Haram Changes Nigerian Flag At The Olympics

LMAO I got you with the title, didnt I? This picture was showed on NBC during the Olympic Basketball events. How can they make such stupid mistake with flag of a nation like Nigeria. Just thinking out loud, can they do it with USA, Britain, Germany, France, etc? Why our beloved country Nigeria? Or are they patronizing our popular image of a failed state? Yes we are good people great nation. As for the title with boko haram in it, I did it intentional because of the fact that we like to blame or pass the buck instead of fixing the whatever stuff it is.

Refugee Without a Country to Compete Under Olympic Flag in London

In this 2007 file photo, Guor Marial trains on the Iowa State campus where he was an All-American for the cross country team.

Yesterday, Guor Marial was a gifted athlete. Today, Marial is an Olympian with less than a week to prepare for his just confirmed trip to London.
The South-Sudanese refugee qualified for the Olympics last October after meeting the Olympic "A" standard with a run of 2 hours, 14 minutes and 32 seconds at the 2011 Twin Cities Marathon. All that was missing after that display of talent was a country to represent in the Olympics.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) requires athletes to be full citizens of the countries they represent. Though Marial has lived in the U.S. for 11 years, he has yet to gain full citizenship and his status as a permanent resident isn't enough to allow him to wear red, white and blue at the games.
"Technically, I was supposed to be a citizen last June, because I did everything, I did my citizen test, I did my interview, I did my fingerprints, and everything was all set. All I needed to do was to go to their office and get my passport and do the ceremony. That was in June 2011, but there has been a security background check...and that's what took everything longer," Marial said this week in an interview with Runner's World.

Marial was born in what is now the Republic of South Sudan, a newly independent country without a National Olympic Committee, an IOC requirement for nations to be able to compete in the games.
With no country to represent, Marial began petitioning the IOC to run as an independent participant under the Olympic flag.
"It would be great for the people of South Sudan for me to run as an independent," Marial told the New York Times last week. "And the U.S. because that's where I discovered running. It would be great for the whole world."

Mario Balotelli's mum is a cleaner at car lease firm

He earns £120,000 a week, likes to drink vintage champagne straight from the bottle and once famously put hundreds of pounds on to a church collection plate. But Mario Balotelli's generosity doesn't appear to extend to his mother, who works as a cleaner in an office only a few miles from her son's £3million mansion.

While the Manchester City footballer glides around in his gleaming £120,000 Bentley Continental GT, Rose Barwuah has a more humble mode of transport – the number 11 bus. Five times a week, she catches the bus  to start her job as a cleaner at a car lease  firm on the outskirts of Cheadle, near Manchester, earning little more than the minimum wage of £6.08  an hour.

Home for her is a council home in Wythenshawe, the area used to  film Shameless, the Channel 4 comedy about feckless families living on benefits.
The 46-year-old gave Balotelli up for adoption when he was two, and she and her husband were living in poverty in a tiny flat in Brescia, Italy. Last Christmas she moved to the Manchester area to be near her notoriously eccentric son, now 21.
A source said: 'When she came over from Italy with her daughter, Rose, she said she wanted to be close to her son and didn't want any of the huge wealth or luxury he now enjoys.

'And it appears she is staying true to her word, living within her limited means and working hard. It is hard work she is doing but she previously worked in a market so she is pretty tough.
'Mario doesn't live very far away in Alderley Edge but it is a world away as far as lifestyle.'

He added: 'His mother keeps a low profile – she doesn't want Mario to feel pressured by her being in the UK. She just wants to rebuild her relationship with her son as any mother would want.'

Balotelli has visited his mother on several occasions at her small semi-detached home, parking his white Bentley outside.
She and her husband Thomas, who are originally from Ghana, were advised to give him up when he was two because he had a life-threatening intestinal condition made worse by their cramped living quarters.

His mother later claimed the Balotelli family, who adopted Mario, had turned him against his birth relatives and she had to work hard to build a relationship with him.

She recently said: 'Mario has been over to see me a few times. We don't see each other all the time as he has his life and I have mine.'

Mario Balotelli's pregnant ex writes emotional open letter to him

After asking for a paternity test and saying there was no hope of them reconciling in a statement released last week, the Italian footballer's pregnant ex-girlfriend has penned down an emotional open letter to him. The letter was published in the current edition of Italian weekly magazine, Chi. Below is what she wrote:

This child I desire with all my heart and I want it because it is not a child that arrived by chance but instead it is the fruit of love between two people and you know well what I am talking about.
This letter was the only way I could speak to you. I am happy to take the DNA test but I still have the text messages you sent me from Krakow (during Euro 2012) in which you said you were happy with the news I had given you.
Even if the events of life have separated us you will be a present and responsible father, as well as one being full of love for his child. You know full well where to find me and I will always be ready to speak with you about the future of your child. Of our child.”
I’m writing this letter because I was left deeply hurt as a woman but also as a mother by what you said in your cold statement.
I find it unfair on your part that you wrote (if you indeed did write it) the insinuation that I was cashing in on the birth of our child.
Dear Mario, and allow me to call you that, I have not been paid for any interview in which I spoke highly of you and of the life together I wanted and where I confirmed rumours that I was pregnant – my tummy is getting bigger all the time and it’s not easy to hide.
