Reach Out Initiative in Delta State Powered By Genevieve, Tiwa Savage, Don Jazzy & Dr Sid

On October 15th and 16th 2012,  Ms. Genevieve Nnaji, and the MAVIN Crew, Don Jazzy, Dr. Sid, and Tiwa Savage organized relief supplies and personally visited the refugee camps located in Asaba, Delta State in order to show both physical and moral support to the displaced victims.

The flood, currently ravaging through the nation has displaced over 100,000 families, leaving a lot of people homeless and without any business to keep them afloat. Our Nigerian stars went down to distribute relief supplies, as well as utilize their celebrity influence and raise more awareness to this ongoing natural disaster.

 

 The Reach Out Initiative, a program kick-started by the stars themselves will be utilized to get a lot more people involved, both within and outside the country in donating help, either through relief supplies or financial donations.

Genevieve: “This is just the beginning, as our country has never experienced anything like this. The government is doing the best they can, but we as citizens, can also partake in helping the situation in the best way we can. Kanye West Factor: Dbanj To Reconcile With Don Jazzy Or Forget It Good Music Deals

DB Records owner and pop artiste D’Banj is desperately trying to reconcile with his former Mo’ Hits partner Don Jazzy. In a bid to get his former maverick producer back, D’Banj asked Kanye West to talk to Don Jazzy. A few months ago the rap superstar called Don Jazzy to try and get the two Mo’ Hits owners to forget the past and work again. Our source who is close to both D’Banj and Don Jazzy confirms this to be true and says that D’Banj’s attempts to get Don Jazzy back has been going on for a sometime.

Our news story also coincides with the Kanye West, Don Jazzy and D’Banj story in today’s edition of City People. According to the magazine, “Kanye West, believed to be at the center of the controversy that led to their fight is making efforts to reconcile them…Kanye West was not aware of the fight between D’Banj and Don Jazzy until 3 months ago and has been trying to get them together.”
The City People story goes on to say that “while he was in the studio with D’Banj some weeks back working on the remix of “Scapegoat” he brought the topic up again and asked D’banj why Don Jazzy was not in the US with him working on the song. D’Banj was said to have told him that they are still friends but work on different platforms now. Kanye was said not to be happy about the fact that his name was in the internet as one of the reasons the duo fell apart. He insists they get back together if he has to keep working with D’banj. He prompted D’Banj to once again try and make up with Don Jazzy





“Recently D’Banj invited Kanye West to come to Nigeria for the video shoot of “Scape Goat” remix he did with Kanye. Kanye accepted but gave a strict condition that he will come only after he must have reconciled with Don Jazzy who must also be in the video.”
According to the City People story, after several attempts by D’Banj, Don Jazzy agreed to appear in the video on a condition that he gets paid for his appearance.

Don Jazzy Unveils Father!!!

Don Jazzy's Dad.

For the past few years, there had been speculations and rumours about the paternity of versatile music producer, Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy. Some fans of the gifted entertainer had suggested that his biological father is ailing actor, Enebeli Elebuwa.

Though Don Jazzy had denied the rumour on several occasions, it seems not convincing enough for his fans, some of whom are of the opinion that he is denying his ‘father’, perhaps because there was a feud between them.....Continue to see what he wrote on twitter.

But what should bring the speculations to an end took place yesterday when Don Jazzy released the picture of his biological father on twitter to celebrate the man during yesterday’s Fathers’ Day celebration. In his tweet, which also carries the picture of the man, Don Jazzy said “Shout out to the baddest Pupsie (father) ever. Don Collins a.k.a. Mavin grandpa, a.k.a. my daddy. Happy Fathers’ Day.”

He later twitted that “Shout out to all the dads out there too. May God give you the strength and wisdom to be the best dad to your kids…While fans reacted to his tweets, some of them still argued that the man in the picture is too young to be Don Jazzy’s father.

What the ace music producer told City People magazine when asked about his deal with Kanye's label, G.O.O.D Music, where he's signed as a producer
Don Jazzy:

I am still signed to G.O.O.D Music, but in order for me to be able to concentrate on building the artistes that we have here, I wouldn't be able to give my 100% in the work I have to do in NY. In New York, the music and orientation is different. I can sit down there and say I'm trying to make an album for Kanye West, and it takes me longer because the level of music there is different from the one here. Kanye West has like 100 producers lined up at his beck and call, and it is not like I am priority. So I'll be spending a lot of money staying in the States when I can return home and be making money as well as grooming more artistes. And it's very easy these days. I can work here and once I'm done, and feel it's something that would suit Kanye West, I'll just email it to them, and if they want to use it, they'll use it and if they don't, they will tell you to try again.
