Teenager Reveals How Her Father Has Been Raping Her Since Age 14

A brave teenage girl today told of how her father raped her in a sickening attack when she visited him for the weekend. Twisted Robert Hawksworth, 54, plied daughter Emily, then 17, with wine at his Derbyshire home before putting her to bed and then climbing in with her.

The teenager had been sexually abused by Hawksworth since the age of 14, but had remained silent until the rape last year, when she reported the crime to the police.

The 18-year-old, whose parents divorced when she was seven, has now waived her right to anonymity to bravely speak out about her ordeal to help other teenagers in similar situations.

'When I woke up in the morning I felt sick and I felt like something had happened,' said Emily, who was a virgin until the horrifying attack. 'I felt violated.

'I stayed in bed all day and on the Sunday he kept asking me to go to town with him and make me take the Pill. 'I refused to take it because I did not want to believe what had happened.'

I was blunt with him and I didn't want the conversation to be brought up. 'When I went home on the Sunday night, I wasn't going to say anything to my mum but as soon as I walked in I burst into tears.

'She knew something had happened so I told her. She was distraught and rang the police.'

On Wednesday Hawksworth, who denied rape and sexual assault, was caged for nine years after a trial at Derby Crown Court.

Emily said she had not initially reported what had happened because she felt scared. 'I was young at the time,' she said. 'I did not know how to handle it.' Hawksworth, from Findern, Derbyshire, denied raping his daughter when he was arrested, forcing her to give evidence at his trial.

Jailing him, Judge John Burgess told Hawksworth: 'She was visiting you as she regularly did for the weekend. 'During the course of that Friday evening you and she were drinking both wine and cider, alcohol you provided. 'She became very drunk and was very sick. You tended to her and she was put to bed.

'During the night you came into her room, removed her underwear and had full sex. 'She was a virgin until that happened. This was a gross breach of trust and the violation of a vulnerable girl.'

Hawksworth split up with Emily's mother in 2001 after he subjected her to an 'extremely abusive' relationship, the court heard. Today Emily's mother Karen Atalay, 53, described her daughter's ordeal as 'terrible and heart-breaking'.

She said: 'I felt quite guilty. I felt it was my fault. 'My marriage to him [Robert] was extremely abusive but I was too frightened to tell anybody anything. 'I'm relieved that at last we have some justice. 'We have all found it very hard to lead a normal life. 'I think we have got through the worst but we are just trying to come to terms with what has happened.

'Emily, who burnt all photographs and gifts given to her by Hawksworth, is having her surname changed by deed poll in a bid to wipe away any trace of her father.

12 Year Old Raped By A Supposed "Honourable"

A Local Government staff of Okposi Development Centre in Ebonyi State, Hon. Chieze Nwankwo was, Tuesday, reported to have allegedly raped a 12 year-old girl names withheld who resides in his compound. The incident which had received a lot of condemnation from the people of the area was said to have been reported to the police station in the area and later transferred to Obiozara Police Station for proper investigation.

Vanguard Newspaper learnt that the victim, a primary six pupil of Umunoka Primary School, Okposi, was lured by Hon. Nwankwo with an apple when she went to fetch water to take her bath. Narrating her ordeal in the hands of the rapist, the victim explained that the accused lured her with an apple and that before she knew what was happening, he had removed her clothes and over powered her.

"When I took my bucket to fetch water at the well, Hon. Chieze called me to his house and said I should come and collect an apple. I went in to collect the apple and asked him whether he too would also eat but before I could understand what was happening, he quickly pulled off his clothes, pushed me to the ground and fell on top of me. "I told him to get off me but he refused and I started crying but there was nobody in the compound until my mother started calling me. I told him that my mother was calling me but he refused to listen until my mother came and pushed the door open. And as soon as he saw my mother he used speed, took his towel and told my mother that it was an

apple he wanted to give to me"

The father of the victim, Mr. Peter Ogbonnaya who is a motorcycle mechanic wondered why such immoral act should be committed against his daughter and called on the state government, Non Governmental Organizations, NGOs and relevant security agencies in the country to come to the aid of the family, so that, appropriate punishment could

be meted out on the culprit.

Meanwhile, the mother of the victim, Mrs. Nnena Nwankwo was said to have taken her daughter to Okposi general hospital where medical examinations had been conducted to ascertain the health state of her daughter. She said: "As my daughter went to take her bath, Mr. Nwankwo who was in front of my shop, said I should give him something to eat. So, I gave him what he wanted.  After eating, he said he wanted to go and see whether his chicken was outside. So, he left but I never knew he was after my daughter. When my daughter went to fetch water at the well that was when he lured her.

"So after a while, I started calling my daughter to know whether she had finished taking her bath but I didn't hear her voice. I traced her to the well where she had gone to fetch water and saw her slippers at the door of Hon. Nwankwo. I now pushed the door and immediately the honourable quickly got up, gathered his towel and dashed out immediately. I raised alarm and told my husband about it"

When reporters visited the police post where the matter was first reported, the Investigation Police Officer, IPO, (name withheld) who confirmed the incident said the matter had been transferred to Obiozara police station for proper investigation to ascertain whether the allegation of rape against the local government staff were genuine or not. As at the time of this report, the culprit who is a Management Committee member in charge of Works department in Okposi Development Centre was alleged to have been released from police custody by some of his colleagues.

UNBELIEVABLE!: Man Rapes 8 Children

The police in Ipaja-Ayobo area of Lagos State, southwest Nigeria have arrested a man who allegedly defiled eight children. He is now being detained, awaiting arraignment in court. The suspect, Mr. Temitope Alo was arrested on Saturday at Koloba area of Ayobo after the children allegedly confessed that he had raped them. The eight victims, whose ages range from eight to 15 years were brought to the Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, WAPA yesterday by the Vice Chairman, Ipaja-Ayobo Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Alhaja Falilat Ajijola to enable the state government to take over the case.

The victim said he works for a newspaper company (name withheld) in Lagos and allegedly lured the children to his apartment where he defiled them and threatened to kill them if they reported the matter. Tests conducted on the eight children at the Ayobo-Ipaja Primary Health Centre, PHC, showed that the children had been defiled.

A top official of the WAPA Ministry told P.M.NEWS that the ministry had been handling rape cases but they had never recorded a case where a man serially raped eight children. The news of the rape caused a stir at the WAPA ministry as the staff rained curses on the alleged rapist.

According to the Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA Vice Chairman, Ajijola, last week a case of rape was reported to the Neighbourhood Watch office at the council but when enquiries were made, the traditional ruler of Koloba was said to have denied that such a thing happened in his area. She said a few days later, the former council chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja, Bisi Yusuf reported that the incident actually happened and that further investigation traced the rape case to the culprit, who was promptly arrested.

Ajijola added that the traditional ruler, Chief Babayanju, later opened up and admitted that the story was true, while eight children came forward to report that they were allegedly raped by Alo.
The vice chairman said the children were taken to the PHC in the area where tests were conducted on them and it was confirmed that the children had been defiled. Two children of a community leader in the area were among the victims.

Chairman, Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Alhaji Shakiru Adisa Yusuf said he was shocked when he heard the story, adding that such a person is worse than an animal. “I was shocked because I am also a parent. Why must he go after innocent children? Such people should not live in this community,” he said, adding that the council would pursue the case to ensure that justice was done. “We will collect the tests conducted on the children and hand them over to the state government. We will pursue the case to a logical conclusion. This man has brought disgrace to this community,” he said.

Acting Director, Child Development, WAPA Ministry, Mrs Mosunmola Dada said the issue was disgusting, adding that such a man must be a paedophile and vowed that the government would ensure that he was prosecuted. “We have evidences against him. The Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA has a medical report on this case. We will monitor and follow up this case,” she said. The suspect, in his statement at the Ayobo Police Station, was said to have admitted that he raped some children, but that he only raped four and not eight.

One of the victims, an eight years old girl (name withheld) told reporters that the suspect told them to help him arrange newspapers in his apartment, adding that, “after that, he told us to go into the next room. “He asked us to remove our panties and I asked him what he wanted to do to us. He laid me on the bed and defiled me four times. He covered our mouths with white handkerchief and threatened to kill us if we report,” she said.

Another victim, a 12 years old girl (name withheld) alleged that the suspect “licked my private part. He called me and my friend in. He asked me to bring N100 fufu for him, which I brought. While I was waiting for the money with my friend, he asked my friend whether she could keep a secret.

“He asked me to pull off my panties but I did not answer and he forced me and licked my private part while he slept with my friend and defiled her too. He gave us N50. I told my friend that I will tell my mummy, but he threatened to kill us if we told anybody.”

This incident happened yesterday afternoon at Adeniji Adele, Dolphin Estate, Phase 2. A little girl ran into a woman's shop crying. The woman asked her why she was crying, but the little girl couldn't really express herself. She just kept pointing at a particular direction, and crying. Then a few minutes later, the shop owner saw a man approaching her shop and calling on the girl to follow him. The woman asked the man who he was and why he was after the girl. The man probably realized the women wasn't going to release the girl to him, so he tried to run. The woman raised an alarm immediately shouting ole ole, thinking he was a kidnapper, not knowing he had done something much worse.

Youths in the area thinking the man was a thief descended on him. The man kept saying he wasn't a thief that the little girl was known to him. They turned to the girl and pressured her to tell them what the guy had done to her; the 3 year old told them that the man had taken her to the last floor of a 3 story building and hurt her. They checked the girl's panties and saw blood all over her private area. The blood had even dropped to her legs but nobody noticed on time.

On hearing this, the youths descended on him once again, this time more brutal. They stripped him naked, and beat him with stick, stones, bottles, etc until someone called the police who then took the man away.

Sexual Abuse: Policeman Arrested For Having Anal Sexx With Children In Bauchi

A policeman serving with the Bauchi State Police Command has been arrested for allegedly having anal sex with children between the ages of nine and twelve. The state’s Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Ladan, confirmed the incident while speaking with Daily Trust.

“A division was investigating the matter, but I have directed them to transfer the case to the state’s Criminal Investigation Department (SCID). The accused is in detention at the moment, and after investigation, we will make our discovery known to the public,” he said.

A source told Daily Trust that the policeman was accused to have slept with about eight children in Kandahar area of Bauchi metropolis. He said the policeman following a report by some parents. A senior staff at the Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, who doesn’t want his name in print told our correspondent that about nine children were brought to the paediatric ward of the hospital by the policemen from the state’s Criminal Investigation Department, and that they were treated and discharged

UK Authorities Have Jailed Nigerian Parents For 7 Years Following Allegations of Child Abuse

For beating their six children with brooms, hoovers and wires and even giving their baby a morphine overdose after childbirth, Nigerian couple, Joseph and Gloria Musa (pictured above with their kids) have been jailed for seven years each in London, with the UK press calling them all sorts of names.

But the Nigerian married couple denied the allegations, claiming the children were victims of a racist witch-hunt. They were, however, found guilty of cruelty to a person under 16. The parents convicted of a decade long campaign of abuse against their six children were jailed for seven years each yesterday.


The Nigerian couple, which the paper said claimed their kids were possessed by evil spirits, were found guilty after Coronation Street star Michelle Collins gave evidence against them.

The parents argued that the children had been ‘brainwashed’ into making the allegations by the police, the London Borough of Haringey and Miss Collins who they said ‘wanted to steal’ them, UK’s Green Crown Court heard.

Jurors rejected the parents conspiracy theories. When they are released, they face deportation back to Nigeria – despite pleas from their legal team that they have been ‘punished enough’ by having their children taken into care.

As they left the court, the paper said the couple wailed: ‘We are innocent, this is a miscarriage of justice.’

The couple were accused of beating their children with brooms, hoovers and wires and even giving their baby a morphine overdose just days after her first birthday.

A report published in UK’s Daily Mail said five of the children were rescued after their eldest daughter threw a heart-wrenching SOS note out of a window.

The report said it was not until their one-year-old baby was given a morphine overdose over a year later that police reopened the case which led to their prosecution.

The paper said the plight of the children was so bad that Miss Collins, who met them at a church lunch, took them to the cinema ‘because she felt sorry for them’.

The Miss Collins gave evidence as a prosecution witness during the trial of the parents, both 40, who could not be named to protect their six children.

Sentencing them to seven years behind bars each, Judge James Patrick described it as ‘shocking mistreatment’ that they had tried to cover up with a ‘web of deception’.

Judge Patrick said: “No-one who sat through this trial could help but be moved by the fact that these intelligent, charming, fun, lovable children continue to love you despite what you put them through.

“You alleged a conspiracy involving a well-known actress, who had done nothing but show your family generosity and kindness, a member of a housing charity, social workers and foster carers.

“Those who had taken the trouble to support you were repeatedly accused of dishonesty, lying, and conspiracy to rob you of your children when the reality was that both of you were lying – in fact they ware simply seeking to give your children stability.”

But the parents claimed they were victims of a conspiracy – and even alleged Miss Collins was involved in a witch hunt against them and wanted to ‘steal’ their children.

One of the youngsters, a baby at the time, had been allowed to stay in the home by Haringey council, who were involved in other case called the Baby P and Victoria Climbie cases, despite the fact the five other children had to be rescued.

The abuse reportedly came to the attention of police in April 2010 when their nine-year-old wrote an SOS note and threw it out of her bedroom window.

The heart-breaking plea read: ‘My mum is the worst mum ever because she can’t cope with five of us, her broken hand and being pregnant. She always leaves me out so I always starve and I am forced to work.

‘If I don’t get enough house work done, I am beaten without mercy with the wooden end of a broom. I have scars all over me to prove it. I can’t stay here. I would like a new mum.’

It was found by a neighbour who called the police, and when officers attended the address they found the children living in messy conditions with ‘dirty’ and ‘dishevelled’ clothing.

Revealing scars the eldest said her mother had hit her with a cable, a broom, and a hoover and her father had dangled her by her feet down the stairwell of the house, tied her hands behind her back and her legs together ‘to get the devilish spirits out’, prosecutor Emma Smith said.

Her sister, who was seven at the time, had a stick shaped bruise of her thigh and after a few months in care, she drew a series of pictures showing her dad beating her and her being left home alone and including a speech bubble saying ‘I’m hungry.’

The children were left home alone for hours, sometimes days on end, with the elder kids forced to look after the others.

They had even been forced to lie to a charity and social services that they were living alone with their mother in one room and had no idea who their dad was so they could scam benefits.

Even during the trial the eldest feared she had torn her family apart with her ‘devastating cry from the heart in the form of a letter which she threw from the window’, the judge noted.

There was an investigation but no further action, and the five children remained in care until the parents once again came to police attention on 28 June last year, when they gave their baby an overdose.

‘But for the events of June 28 you would have gotten away with your crimes because of a merciful decision not to prosecute you’, Judge Patrick noted.

The couple’s sixth child, a baby girl, the report said, was also initially taken into care but then returned to her parents. They took her to St Thomas’s Hospital just days after her first birthday last year.

The paper went on to say that without treatment, the baby could have died but doctors managed to save the youngster, who it is believed was given morphine orally that morning.

Father buries his newborn child alive for being deformed

Pakistani police have arrested a man accused of burying his newborn daughter alive because she was physically deformed.

Mohammed Anwar, a police officer in the city of Khanewal in the eastern Punjab province, said the child was born on Thursday at a hospital in the nearby town of Kacha Khuh.

But after seeing his little girl, father Chand Khan is said to have been shocked that she had 'abnormal features'.

He then set about planning how to dispose of her body, it is claimed.

 According to police, he told relatives that the baby was born dead and arranged a funeral for the girl. 

But shockingly, the baby let out a cry during the service.

Chand is then accused of burying the girl alive. 

Residents alerted authorities after seeing him take the baby to the graveyard. 

Khan, who has four other children, will be sentenced to death if he is found guilty of killing his daughter. 

Police say they will now exhume the child's body to perform an autopsy.

The case has also shed light on prejudices in Pakistan against children, especially girls, who are born with physical deformities. 

There have also been cases of parents killing their children out of extreme poverty and an inability to take care of them.
