CHINA: Firefighters In China Rescue A New Born Baby Trapped In Sewer Pipe
Thank God for his miracles. God sure works in mysterious ways.

A baby boy believed to be just days old was found in a sewer pipe in a bathroom in China last weekend. According to local media, the startling discovery was made on Saturday in Jinhua City, Zhejiang province.

Firefighters were called to an apartment complex where residents said they could hear the baby’s cries through the pipes. Emergency crews who arrived on the scene could see the baby’s head far down inside the toilet duct, but were unable to reach down far enough into the 4-inch in diameter pipe to pull him out.

Rescuers had to walk down one floor below to cut the pipe free. After removing the section of pipe containing the baby, firefighters took him to a nearby hospital where pliers and a saw were used to gently free him.

The boy is in stable condition now
The child, whose name is unknown, was believed to be just two days old when he was discovered and initially suffered from a low heart rate and labored breathing. He had also suffered numerous bruises to his head, arms and legs.

Rescuers try to reach the trapped infant inside a piece of the sewage pipe. Doctors at Pujiang People’s Hospital said by telephone that the baby’s prognosis was good. His heart rate was stabilizing and his breathing was much smoother, they added.

Staff also reported that the hospital was paying the boy’s medical bills while donations of clothes, baby formula and other gifts were coming in from the community. Doctors declined to confirm whether the baby’s relatives have come forward.

Police in Jinhua City said that they “seemed” to have found the baby’s parents before refusing to speak further. Police there have also said that they were treating the investigation as an attempted murder. On Chinese social media, users expressed their outrage over the incident and called for the parents to be punished.

“More and more young parents treat their own flesh and blood so viciously,” wrote one user on China’s Twitter-like service, Weibo. “Treating a life like this is no different than murder.”

Others though expressed a desire to adopt the young boy.

baby dumped at the cemetry

A baby boy suspected to be eight-day-old was found wrapped inside a bag and abandoned at a cemetery in Kakuri, Kaduna South local government area of Kaduna State yesterday. The boy, who had maggots coming out from every opening on his body, was still alive, according to two good Samaritans who located him in the area.

Mr. Robert Ogbole, a student of Bayero University Kano and Miss Grace Yahaya, a Kaduna State athlete who found the baby, narrated their experiences to newsmen at the Kakuri police station where it was taken to after receiving first aid at a nearby hospital in Kakuri.

Ogbole said: “I was at home at about 11: 30 am when my younger brother (Mike), who passed through the cemetery to the football field came with a report that he heard the sound of a baby inside a bag at the cemetery. So, I quickly called my neighbour (Grace), and we ran to the place.

“On getting there, we found this baby boy rapped all over with cloth and was kept in the cemetery, so we picked him and this my neighbour helped to unwrap him, the baby had maggots coming from every opening of his body but was still alive.

“We then took the baby to Young Men Christian Association (YMCA) clinic in Kakuri where the baby was treated before we brought him to the police station.

“The nurse at the clinic confirmed that the baby should be about a week old and probably would have been in that condition for about four days,’’ she said.

When contacted, the Kaduna Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Aminu Lawan, confirmed the incident.

“When the baby boy was brought to our police station in Kakuri, our men immediately swung into action. We have taken the baby to the Saint Gerard Catholic Hospital for necessary medical investigation and treatment. At the end of the treatment, we will process all the documents and hand over the baby to the social welfare for further necessary action.

Meanwhile, the PPRO said, the police will carry out necessary investigation with a view to unveiling the perpetrator of such dastardly act.

Abandoned Baby Found Dead Near a Dumpsite

This new born baby was found dead near a dump site at about 5:30 this morning at Sadiku Bus Stop, Ilasamaja, close to the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway.

How can people be this callous? Ironies of life, some desperately want a baby others heartlessly kill theirs. Even if you dont want the child, you can give it up for adoption. I cant imagine the rational reasoning that lead to logical solution to abandon a baby to die. Well that mind is neither rational nor logical.

Tomorrow the person will start running from pillar to post looking for a child, how can you have a child when you murdered the ones God gave you. Lord have mercy.

Abandoned Baby Found this Morning at Ilupeju

The baby, with umbilical cord, blood and all, was found abandoned around 10am this morning at Shilon Junction, Ilupeju. The new born was abandoned near a dustbin close to the express. Unbelievably sad! Who can be this heartless to an innocent child. Many are looking for a child others are throwing theirs, what a world. People are adopting, buying children legally and illegally and you threw yours away. How people live with such act? May God and that child forgive whoever you are
