Education: First Class Graduates Receives N5 Million Each From Delta State Government To Further their Education

Yesterday, the Delta state government presented the sum of N5,000,000 to each of her first Class Graduates to further their education in any University of their choice, an act which has raised up another round of debate. This is how it was reported on the Delta State Government’s Facebook page:

The debate surrounding this presentation comes in different forms. People will always have different opinion, different strokes for different folks. Some have argued that the sum is too much. Others have said they shouldn’t have been given the cash, but instead, should have sent the students to reputable Universities for their Masters Degrees and paid their tuition fees directly to the Universities.
