Innovation: Sony Unveils Waterproof Phone
You dont have worry about your phone anymore when you get drenched by rain. You can now sit in the bath and watch HD movies. Sony has announced a new smartphone that can be used in the shower or bath without the risk of damage, reports BBC News. The Xperia Z can also record HDR (high dynamic range) video, a facility borrowed from its camera division. The Android-powered device was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The handset has a 5in (12.7cm) screen and is said to be capable of being submerged in water of up to one metre (3.3 ft) in depth for 30 minutes. It features a 13 megapixel camera and 4G LTE data connectivity, a Micro SD slot, and a 1080p x 1920p high-definition screen that borrows technology from Sony’s Bravia TV division to enhance video playback.
