The Army has released the 63 suspects arrested on Saturday, in connection with the abduction of Prof. Kamene Okonjo, mother of the Finance Minister, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. The suspects were arrested at Osanogoho, Ika South Local Government of Delta State and detained at the 4 Brigade Headquarters in Benin City, Edo State capital.
The Brigade’s Public Relations Officer, Capt Rose

of the suspects.
Capt Managbe debunked allegations that the detainees paid
N70,000 to secure their release and had to pay for their food while in
