Can you imagine the amount set aside for rams! By the way I dont mean Random Access Memory. The Kano State Government has released N1.7 billion for the payment of ram bonus to its civil servants to celebrate Sallah.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the bonus was
introduced by the Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso administration to assist civil
servants in the state. A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the
Ministry of Finance, Alhaji Garba Inusa, said that the money had been released
to ministries, departments and agencies for onward disbursement.
According to the statement, N520 million will be disbursed to the
state civil servants, while local governments and the State Primary Education
Board will disburse N410 million and N847 million respectively to their staff.
Kini big deal. I know a single company that budgeted and spent N800,000 on salah ram alone as corporate gifts how much more a whole state.
ReplyDeleteNot really a big deal if its priority. The way I see, if you have N1.7bn infrastructural underdevelopment in the state and you spend N1.7bn on rams, then its a big deal from a negative perspective.
DeleteWow! Thought I saw 1.7million! Seriously, are all the rams in Nigeria worth 1.7Billion? Another attempt at siphoning public fund.
ReplyDeleteI really wonder too Yimi. You see why it was a BIG deal to me?
