Basically, that blue tick means that your account is verified and getting “verified on Twitter” co-signs your celeb status as well as let’s fans know that it’s the real individual tweeting from a said account and not a parody account.

How Can You Get Verified on Twitter

 

I do ponder this not like I really care. 

 

Please what does it mean to be verified on twitter? How do people really get verified? Someone said a celebrity can get verified when he or she is known worldwide with what he or she does. Dencia, Brymo, Jesse Jags, Ice Prince have all been verified. Does that mean they are known worldwide with what they do? And if this is true, the likes of Femi Kuti who gets Grammy nominations all the time should be the first if you ask me.

Another person said on twitter that celebrities pay $15,000 to get verified. Which is the truth? How do celebs get verified on twitter? Do you think there is something fishy? In short can someone educate us on this?
