May D Claims No Knowledge Of His Sack From Square Records

 

 

When contacted this morning following the statement released by Jude Okoye that May D is no longer an artist under Square Records; May D claimed he was not aware of the sack. His associates said they all heard about the sack on blogs and social media; that May D was not properly informed.

We believe that the contract between them was not consummated on the internet, how come a disclaimer was issued to bloggers and journalists without properly serving notice to the person involved?

If this is true, then it's unfortunate!

What P-Square Said About Their Mom

Mrs. Okoye before her death was widely known as one of the major pillar and source of inspiration to the singing twin brothers (P-Square). She had been in and out of the hospital for about four months before she eventually died. She is survived by her Jos based husband, children; Ifeanyi, Henry, Jude, Lilian, Tony, Peter, Paul and Mary.

In the words of Peter, the eldest half of the P-Square twin brothers, their mother will be greatly missed, not just because she was their mother, but because she played a vital role in the success story of P-Square and remains their role model. "You know that she was a prayer warrior, so I don't need to tell you how she stood by us spiritually. Besides, she was the only one that believed in us when we decided to make a career out of music. She was our source of inspiration and our role model!
"I can remember that she used to sneak us out at night then to attend shows without the consent of our father who insisted that we must quit music to face our education," Peter said. ......Continue to see Paul's...

While Paul who has broken down since the news was broken to the family, his mum remains his world and everything. "My mum remains my world and my everything. She has done so much for us and can't just have enough of us. She was the pillar behind us and was there when we were nobody till now when we are two of the best in the country. It's indeed a sad one and I would forever miss her!"

A condolence register was opened in her honour at P-Square's Omole Phase 1 residence and several friends and colleagues of the multiple award-winning singers have been visiting the house to commiserate with the Okoye family

Peter, Paul and Jude Okoye lose mum

The mother of Paul, Peter and Jude Okoye has sadly passed on. Mrs Josephine Okoye died last night in a hospital in India where she had been flown to for medical treatment. The nature of her illness was not disclosed. The devastated twin brothers, their elder brother Jude and manager may fly to India today to recieve the body of their mum. So sad. May her soul rest in peace...amen.

P-Square signs distribution deal with Universal Music Group

P-Square has signed a distribution deal with Universal Music, South Africa. The deal was signed and sealed this afternoon at a press conference in Johannesbourg, South Africa. The music label will be releasing past and future projects with them; and handle all their digital and CD sales all over the world. These guys keep rocking. Congrats to them!
