Two wrong definitely does not make a right, a teen in Papua New Guinea village disagrees with that when she took the laws into her hands. Community leaders are protecting a teenager accused of beheading her father after he repeatedly raped her in their Papua New Guinea village from the police, according to reports.

The Post-Courier reported that an 18-year-old woman allegedly cut off her father's head in their Western Highlands home on the night of June 11 while the girl's mother and his three other children were away visiting relatives, the Agence France-Presse (AFP) notes. The man had allegedly raped the young girl repeatedly. The girl reported the incident to community leaders, who believe she was justified in the killing, the report states.

“The father wanted to rape his daughter again in the morning inside the house and that was when the young girl picked up the bush knife and chopped her father's head off,” Pastor Lucas Kumi said. Later adding, “The daughter did what she did because of the trauma and the evil actions of her father so that is why we have all agreed that she remains in the community."

The police, however, want to question the teen.

"A crime has allegedly been committed," police spokesman Dominic Kakas told the Australian Associated Press (AAP) Monday. "But a murder is a murder, it is a matter that will be investigated."

Violence against women is high in Papua New Guinea. The U.S. Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) cites a 2008 report from The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) that states the country as a whole has one of the world’s highest rates of sexual violence. Eight percent of the women in the country have been raped, "but this number is likely low due to underreporting," the report notes.

A five year old girl is fighting for her life after she was raped by a neighbour in Gandhi Nagar, east Delhi, who held her captive for four days. The girl was kidnapped while playing outside her home and locked in her neighbour’s flat for days before someone heard her cries for help.

Doctors reported finding ‘foreign objects’ inside the girl’s genitals as the details of her horrific ordeal began to unfold.

The five-year-old went missing from her home on Monday and was found on Thursday night by rescuers, alerted by her screams, in the home of a man who lives in the same building as the girl’s family. The neighbour is believed to have repeatedly raped the child, mutilated her genitals and tried to strangle her.


Doctors at Swami Dayanand hospital in Dehli said they found foreign objects inside the girl, including a 200ml bottle and parts of a broken candle. She also suffered injuries and bruising to her chest, lips and cheeks. Dr R.K. Bansal who examined the girl said it was ‘one of the worst cases’ he had ever seen, and that the next 48 hours will be crucial in determining her chances of survival.

‘She was scared and not fully conscious,’ he told Hindustani Times. ’Initially, she did not allow us to proceed with the examination as she was in tremendous pain.’

This is the third alleged rape of a minor this month in the Delhi area. Earlier this week a ten-year-old was allegedly raped on a bus after the driver, also in this case a neighbour, lured her away from her home.

Last week another girl, also aged ten, was allegedly raped by a neighbour and then locked in a cell by police after her family tried to report the crimes.

A Nigerian teenager who attacked and raped an 11 year old schoolgirl in November 2012 has been found guilty of rape and facing life imprisonment in the UK. 18 year old Opemipo Jaji was under a supervision order for having child porn and had just left an appointment with the Probation Service when he followed the victim as she took a bus home from school.

Opemipo took the girl to Jubilee Park in Enfield where he repeatedly raped her for three hours.

The court heard today that the Nigerian Paedophile stuffed a school tie and gloves into her mouth to stop her screaming. But Opemibo denied being the attacker, telling police he had seen the girl on the bus but nothing had happened. "I am just not capable of doing something as despicable and heartless as this," he told the court.

Well, nobody believed him. Not only was the victim's blood found on his clothes, CCTV footage also captured him in the same bus with the girl, plus he fitted the girl's description of her attacker and he admitted he was at the park that evening but only to compose music. He was found guilty and will be sentenced in two weeks time.

Chorister Arraigned For Allegedly Raping Church Member

A 25 year-old man, Chukwuma Iheme, was on Wednesday charged before an Ogudu Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, for allegedly attempting to rape a church member. Iheme and his victim were choristers of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Goshen Parish, Ogudu, Lagos.

The suspect with no fixed address was arraigned on a three count-charge of assault, stealing and rape.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Prosecutor Donjor Perizi told the court that Iheme had on Aug. 14 visited Omimi Faith in her residence at No. 1, Samara Street, Elebiju, Ogudu, Lagos, and made sexual advances to her which was turned down by the complainant.

“After the refusal, Iheme suddenly jumped on Faith and stripped her naked. In the process, the accused beat the complainant and forcefully twisted her left hand which caused dislocation on her wrist,” Perezi said.

He said that the accused also stole Nokia X3 phone valued at N23, 000 from the complainant, stressing that the accused was arrested following complain by Faith. He said the offences contravened Sections 171, 285 and 260 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State, 2011.

Magistrate B.F Williams granted bail to the accused in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to Jan. 14, 2013, for mention. (NAN)

Teenager Reveals How Her Father Has Been Raping Her Since Age 14

A brave teenage girl today told of how her father raped her in a sickening attack when she visited him for the weekend. Twisted Robert Hawksworth, 54, plied daughter Emily, then 17, with wine at his Derbyshire home before putting her to bed and then climbing in with her.

The teenager had been sexually abused by Hawksworth since the age of 14, but had remained silent until the rape last year, when she reported the crime to the police.

The 18-year-old, whose parents divorced when she was seven, has now waived her right to anonymity to bravely speak out about her ordeal to help other teenagers in similar situations.

'When I woke up in the morning I felt sick and I felt like something had happened,' said Emily, who was a virgin until the horrifying attack. 'I felt violated.

'I stayed in bed all day and on the Sunday he kept asking me to go to town with him and make me take the Pill. 'I refused to take it because I did not want to believe what had happened.'

I was blunt with him and I didn't want the conversation to be brought up. 'When I went home on the Sunday night, I wasn't going to say anything to my mum but as soon as I walked in I burst into tears.

'She knew something had happened so I told her. She was distraught and rang the police.'

On Wednesday Hawksworth, who denied rape and sexual assault, was caged for nine years after a trial at Derby Crown Court.

Emily said she had not initially reported what had happened because she felt scared. 'I was young at the time,' she said. 'I did not know how to handle it.' Hawksworth, from Findern, Derbyshire, denied raping his daughter when he was arrested, forcing her to give evidence at his trial.

Jailing him, Judge John Burgess told Hawksworth: 'She was visiting you as she regularly did for the weekend. 'During the course of that Friday evening you and she were drinking both wine and cider, alcohol you provided. 'She became very drunk and was very sick. You tended to her and she was put to bed.

'During the night you came into her room, removed her underwear and had full sex. 'She was a virgin until that happened. This was a gross breach of trust and the violation of a vulnerable girl.'

Hawksworth split up with Emily's mother in 2001 after he subjected her to an 'extremely abusive' relationship, the court heard. Today Emily's mother Karen Atalay, 53, described her daughter's ordeal as 'terrible and heart-breaking'.

She said: 'I felt quite guilty. I felt it was my fault. 'My marriage to him [Robert] was extremely abusive but I was too frightened to tell anybody anything. 'I'm relieved that at last we have some justice. 'We have all found it very hard to lead a normal life. 'I think we have got through the worst but we are just trying to come to terms with what has happened.

'Emily, who burnt all photographs and gifts given to her by Hawksworth, is having her surname changed by deed poll in a bid to wipe away any trace of her father.

The Bible student who confessed to killing a spiritual leader’s wife revealed to a pastor he recorded the sexual assaults on his iPad, it emerged today, as the 23-year-old appeared in court. Micah Moore, of Kansas City, was charged on Saturday with first-degree murder in the death of Bethany Ann Deaton, which was made to look like a suicide after a bottle of pills and a note were left by her body.

He appeared shackled in court today with his head bowed to hear the charges against him after he confessed to the October 30 murder on Friday. Moore told an International House Of Prayer pastor at the Grandview Police Department that he video recorded the sexual assaults on his iPad.

Despite this, he has not been charged with any sexual assault. It is not yet clear if his iPad has been seized. IHOP released a statement today distancing themselves from the ‘cult’ saying they had no idea what kind of practices the students engaged in.

The body of the 27-year-old woman was found in a van with a bag over her head with a suicide note that said: ‘My name is Bethany Deaton. I chose this evil thing. I did it because I wouldn’t be a real person and what is the point of living if it is too late for that?

‘I wish I had chosen differently a long time ago. I knew it all and refused to listen. Maybe Jesus will still save me.’ The statement, seen by The Kansas City Star, said that Moore admitted he was with Deaton at the lake and that he ‘placed a bag over her head and held it there until her body shook’.

Moore was one of a number of roommates of Bethany Deaton and her husband Tyler, who was said to serve as ‘the spiritual leader of a community’. He said he was afraid that Deaton was going to tell her therapist about assaults that had occurred over the previous few months.

Witnesses told detectives they were a part of a ‘religious community’ where they had sex with each other.
Moore told police that he was told to kill Bethany Deaton by a person who said ‘he knew Micah had it in him to do it’.

Another person who lived at their house told police Tyler had recently been ‘angry and frustrated’ and that in the weeks before Bethany’s death he revealed ‘he had had a dream that he killed his wife by suffocating her’.
Moore is the only person to be charged in the case as yet but the police said they are still investigating.

Bethany’s father released a statement on Monday about her death: ‘We are deeply grieving the loss of our beautiful and innocent daughter. We are shocked and horrified by the information now coming forth. ‘The betrayal, the subtle and increasing manipulation, and the brutal victimization which occurred is beyond tragic. We pray for the truth to be revealed.

‘While it is important to understand how Bethany died, it is even more important to understand how she lived. Because of the ongoing investigation, we do not have any further comment at this time.’

40 Year Old Woman Chops Off Rapist's Penis

Monju Begum, a 40-year-old Bangladesh woman stopped an alleged rapist in his tracks when she reportedly cut off his penis and then took it to police as evidence. According to police, Begam’s neighbor, Mozammel Haq Mazi, forced his way into her shanty and began sexually assaulting her.

Investigators say Begum stopped the attack by cutting off his penis She then placed the evidence into a polythene bag and took it into police as proof that Mazi had attempted to rape her. Begum, a married mother of three, told police that Mazi had been harassing her for the past six months. Mazi is reportedly also married and has five children.

“It is quite an unusual incident. As far as I am aware, this is the first time that a woman has brought a severed penis to the police station as evidence,” said police spokesperson Abul Khaer.

“We will arrest him once his condition gets better,” said Khaer.

Mazi denied the allegations telling investigators that the two were having an affair.

“Recently she suggested that both of us can go settle down in Dhaka,” said Mazi. “I refused and told her that I cannot leave my wife and children, so she took revenge on me.”

Students Kidnap Female Colleague, Assault, Kill And Bury Her In A Forest

Two students of Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State, Henry Edewo, 21 and Emmanuel Isikhuime, have been arrested by the Police for kidnapping, molesting and murdering a female student, one Mercy Peter, 21, also a student of the institution.

They were alleged to have buried their victim in a shallow grave in a forest at Ugbor village, Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State, after killing her.

It was gathered that the victim, who was kidnapped on July 29, this year, was killed four days later after she was serially molested by the suspects.

They were also alleged to have continued to demand for ransom from her parents after killing her.

State Police Public Relations Officer, Anthony Airhuoyo, however, told newsmen that the police made a breakthrough in the case on October 17 when two of the suspects were arrested.

He added that a third suspect, whose name was given as Charles, was still on the run.

Airhuoyo disclosed that the suspects took the police to the spot where they buried Mercy and her corpse was exhumed. He said they were awaiting autopsy report.

19 Alleged Rape Cases Recorded In Benue IDP's Camp

About 19 young girls have been reportedly raped at four of the designated resettlement camps established for flood victims in Makurdi, the Benue State capital. Investigations revealed that rape cases have become a daily occurrence in the four official camps spread across the state capital for flood victims.

It was also gathered that perpetrators of the unholy act were young men who reside in the camps with their victims and some who come from within the communities where the camps are situated. From Wurukum to Saint Catherine and Wadata camps, it was the same sad story. One of the victims, a girl of 19 who craved anonymity disclosed that she was raped two days ago at about 10pm by a young man she couldn’t identify.

She said: “I just walked back into the camp after I had visited a former neighbour in town. I got into the camp that evening, while walking towards the classrooms where we sleep, somebody called my name from a dark spot.

“I tried to find out who it was, but before I knew what was happening, somebody grabbed me from behind and threatened that he would stab me to death if I shouted. He grabbed me down and raped me.

“I am not the only one they have done this to, there are so many other girls; there are over 19 of us that have been raped in the last few days, but we are all hiding it because of the shame, but if we don’t cry out we will not get help because we are helpless.”

“And if we don’t cry out because of the shame, the people behind this evil acts will continue to torment girls and women in the camps.”

When contacted, the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, for Benue State, Assistant Suprintendent of Police   Ejike Alaribe said the rape cases have not been brought to the notice of the Police. Alaribe, however, assured that the Police would intensify its surveillance around the camps in the town to stem the unhealthy development.

FG registers 88,740 IDPs in three states

ABUJA— As President Goodluck Jonathan rounds off the first leg of his nationwide tours of flood affected states, the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, has confirmed the registration of 88740 Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, in Adamawa, Benue and Taraba states.

According to a statement by NEMA and signed by Head, Public Relations, Alhaji Yushau A. Shuaib, in Abuja, the IDPs were registered by emergency and rescue workers after the floods that submerged houses and washed away farmlands. The statement said: ”In Adamawa State which was worst hit, emergency workers recorded 46,030 Internally Displaced Persons in seven affected local government councils.

“In Benue State 19505 IDPs were recorded from six affected local government councils, while in Taraba, the emergency workers registered 23,205 IDPs in camps that are spread in seven local government councils of the state.”

Shuaib noted that NEMA officials had collaborated with major stakeholders, especially respective State Emergency Management Agencies, SEMAs, response agencies, Red Cross Society and recognised volunteers in the establishment and management of the camps where the IDPs were temporarily accommodated.

He said relief materials had also been provided to the victims.

A Nigerian deported from Republic of China has been remanded in Kirikiri Prisons, Apapa, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, for allegedly raping two women in a hotel room in Lagos. Ifionu Anthony from Dunukofia in Anambra State, southeast Nigeria, who was deported for an undisclosed offence, had lodged at Golden Apple And Suites off Airport road, Ajao Estate, Oshodi Isolo, Lagos.

The victims, Blessing Williams, 22 and Mona Adijat, 20, who are staff of the hotel, alleged that after they closed for the day and retired to their staff room to sleep, Anthony entered their room without their consent and forced them to perform lesbianism by threatening them with arms.

The victims alleged that they were compelled to romance themselves, lick their private parts and masturbate while he was watching and thereafter forcefully had sex with them in turns.

When asked how the suspect managed to get into their room, the victims said that after they retired to their room, they noticed a man climbing the fence that separated the hotel and their staff room.

The victims said they immediately raised an alarm but he told them that he only came to discuss with them. But when they refused to open the door, he threatened to force the door open and kill them.

Terrified by his threat, they opened the door and saw weapons on him suspected to be guns and knife.

One of the victims said: “He ordered us to strip naked and romance each other. He said we should touch each other’s private parts and masturbate, while he was watching us do so. After that he raped us.

“We were shouting but nobody heard us because there was heavy rainfall that night. It was when he was satisfied that he opened the door and left.”

The victims said when he left, they ran to Ajao Estate Police station that night to report the case.

The police thereafter went to his lodge and arrested him and later arraigned him in Isolo Magistrate’s Court Lagos, where he was charged with assault and rape under sections 305, 168 and 258 of the Criminal Code Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2011.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges and the prosecutor, Mr Onime Idowu, prayed to the court to note the seriousness of the allegations made against the suspect while considering his bail because he may jump bail and escape justice.

But the presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A. K. Kumbeje, granted Anthony bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The matter was adjourned till 11 October 2012, while the suspect was remanded in prison custody pending when he would meet his bail conditions.
